RELITEK Solutions, Inc. calls this offering the Technology-Business Assessment because we want to know how the current local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) are meeting critical business needs. Technology in todays fast pace world reaches into every facet of business, from outside sales people accessing their email and applications remotely, to internal accounting personnel depending upon their desktop PC to be stable on a daily basis.
After approaching a client we offer an assessment to determine what the network looks like at a high level; which components make up the network; all issues relating to the network; and how technology is assisting in the daily business processes. We then document all components that play a role in the network, spanning from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) all the way to the desktop. The next step consists of meeting with the IT decision maker and then determining which business needs are currently being met. We ask specific questions to get an idea of the vision that the decision-maker has as it relates to technology. As far as IT vision is concerned we do act as guides for the decision-makers. We also attempt to ascertain the exact ongoing issues and frustrations.
Our initial goal is to use the Technology-Business Assessment as a visionary tool to guide the IT decision-maker. Many IT decision-makers are not aware of some of the newest technologies offered by Microsoft and other vendors.
